Hamper Information
Thanksgiving Hampers
Our Thanksgiving hampers include the essentials for a holiday meal, allowing you to enjoy a warm and comforting Thanksgiving dinner with loved ones.
If you are a resident of Fort Saskatchewan and would like to apply, please complete the registration form by October 8. Hampers will be available for pick-up at the Fort Saskatchewan Nourishment Centre on October 11, 2024, between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Food Hampers are available to those in need within the boundaries of the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
If you need food support, please call our office at 780-998-4099 during a Hamper Day to receive a hamper that same day.
Agency referrals are not required.
Hamper Days are:
Tuesday 10am-7pm
or Thursday 10am-5pm
To register for a Food Hamper, you are required to provide:
- Photo ID for each adult residing in the home
- Proof of Fort Saskatchewan residency for each adult in the home (such as a utility bill, lease agreement, or piece of government-issued mail)
- Alberta Health Care cards for each adult and child
Clients can access a hamper once per month, as needed. If you need EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE and don’t have all your registration requirements, please call our office to discuss.
Each hamper is prepared to order based on family size, and includes non-perishable staple food items in addition to healthy fresh food such as eggs, milk, meat, fruit and vegetables.

Gluten-free or vegan products are often available and are included by request. Pet food is available on Hamper Days. Selection varies and is dependent on donations received.
Service area: We provide food support to those in need within the City of Fort Saskatchewan boundaries.
Food Hamper Delivery
Food Hamper Delivery is offered to registered clients who do not have access to a reliable vehicle, or the means to pick up a hamper on their own. Clients must complete the registration requirements to have delivery to their homes.
Delivery requests must be made by 3pm, with hampers delivered between 4pm-6pm each hamper day by Food Bank volunteers.

The Fort Saskatchewan Food Gatherers Society is a registered charity which operates the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank, Christmas Hamper Campaign, School Snack Program, and various other essential programs and services from the Fort Saskatchewan Nourishment Centre in order to serve a little hope and happiness to the people of Fort Saskatchewan in various times of need.
